About 6-7 years ago everyone raved about JCM800 in the forum world and how it was last true rockin amp and how the introuction of diode clipping killed amps as we know them etc etc
About the same time JCM900's were considered the worst amps ever made by Marshall.

-Post phase inverter master volume? Is that the 'Power' knob?
-6550 tubes
-5 preamp tubs instead of 3
-Whats the AFD/#34 switch?

what were these amps? I know one was the SIR and another is his JCM800 that he records with.

I run my 2204 like this...
1) a speaker cable from the head to cab as per normal
2) a second speaker cable from the head to an attenuator
What this does is the attenuator plays the part of another cab. So 25w to the

Just tell me the jubilee has a thicker lead tone than the DSL Lead 1 channel and Im sold. My only gripe with the DSL is that the green channel was thicker than the red. If they could have combined the thickness of the green channel with the crunch of the red then...
Ive owned both of these. I have the JCM800 at the moment and Im getting a little over the piercing mids and treble. I was thinking of going back to a DSL. A more controlled sound in my opinion.
