The vox isn'y going to cut it if you want some rage or slave imo.
The DSL may be up your street from what i've read. Jcm 800 tones in both modes. 2nd channel very high gain though.
I boost my 2204 with a Ibanez TS10. Gain at 0 and level wacked up. Sounds awesome :) Handles pedals well but not as good as my main amp. ( VM ).
I'm looking to get a new dsl 50 too. Mainly for the 1 st channel. The other channel was always a little extreme for me.
No worries. Thanks for the comments men. Very helpful.
Yep the tonebone would not help in this situation but a very handy tool.
Two cabs it is then..and yep i've heard about two amps being out of phase.
:hmm:
I'll have a think.
Cheers.
Hi guys.
I own a 2266 Vm and am currently looking for a second amp ( maybe DSL 50 ) to partner it.

Anywho.. I was looking...
Thanks for the feedback guys :)
And quality comments ken haha.

Would it be a wasted load of money me purchasing a DSL50?
I like...
Hi guys, I own a JCM800 2204 and was wondering how it compares to the JCm dsl 50?
Ive heard it can replicate the jcm 800 on the 2nd channel?
I love blues and love early 90s grunge/post grunge music ( pearljam, silverchair etc ).
I hear gary moore used the 1st channel on green for most of his...
I too owned a marshall 6100LM modded with el34's.
Fantastic amp. I had a DSL50 before but found the plexi mode on the 6100 sounded more familiar to me as I had recently sold a 1987 plexi head.
Once given the option to wack the 6100 up it really bought the amp to life. I played it through my...
