I have JJ 6L6 GC's and some Chinese 12ax7's. I had groove tubes (GT-6L6B)'s and The stock Marshall ECC-83's, but found I liked the JJ's more. What's everyone running tube wise and why? I don't honestly know the difference between 12ax7's and ECC-83's etc...

I have a JCM 900 SLX Model 2100 - 100w/50w - If I am running it on power drop (50w) do I also need to switch the Impedence? Or is that only if I actually am removing tubes?
