    Congratulations Dave on your find. You'll love it. I would put the tone and playability of my ebony studio up there with any guitar out there. Of course it comes down to personal preferance. I don't think you will be disappointed.

    What was your first rig ?

    I had a Special 130 for my second rig. Not a bad amp for what it was. My first rig was a Peavey Decade 10 watter and a Electra LP Goldtop copy. Wish I still had the guitar.

    DSL-50W head or 100W head ?

    The biggest difference you'll see is in clean headroom. The 50 will go into power tube distortion sooner at volume then the 100. Other than that I think they are the same. I have the 50 and love it.

    Just got it. DSL50. Running into a lopo with Weber speakers(a blue dog and a silver bell). So far I love it.

    Solo boosts

    Something else to try is the Danelectro Fish-n-Chip 7 band EQ. FOr $30.00US it's hard to go wrong. I use in front of a Peavey C30 and love it. But it doesn't seem to work as well in the loop. But again for the money it's great.
