I have the TSL 60 head and love the cleans. As others have said, the tone isn't the same as a Fender clean but running a strat through the TSL clean channel would get you on your way. The TSL 60 is a significantly more versatile amp than the Deville and I would recommend it highly.
I bought a used VM2466 about a month ago now and have found the tones to be incredible. Rich, harmonic, bright, jangly, nasty, deep, warm......I am surprised the line has been discontinued as the general reviews on the web seem to be favourable overall and many describe it as one of the best...

Hey thanks Drdos! Break in time is always an unknown factor I find. Best off playing it loud and long for a while and seeing if it comes to the party. I reckon I might just stick with the original stock speaker for a while but I would love to try a Celestion 70th Anniversary speaker in...

Hey thanks for the welcome mate! I think I need 5 posts before I can put gear in my signature so will wait for that but yes, I am certainly a Marshall devotee. Have owned and played through loads of amps over the years but Marshall has the MAGIC for sure. Cheers!
Very keen to hear your thoughts on the new speaker. I picked up a 1987 Artist 4203 a few weeks ago and I am really enjoying this great amp. Had a jam with a mate last night, he was playing on my Taylor acoustic through the Marshall AS50D......me soloing on a Gibson SG (P90's) through the...
Hey Guys!
Must be something in the air? I just picked up a Marshall Vintage Modern 2466 today and agree with so many of the positive comments. Amongst the sweetest tones I have ever come across. I love the simplicity on this amp. I love the fact it really encourages the player to use the...
