    Fender Tone Master Head

I remember them. Weren't they from the Fender Custom Shop. They were on the pricy side IIRC. GP reviewed one when they first came out. The consensus was they were very loud with a lot of high end.

    Where To Buy Fuse Holders

Mine is a newer Matamp and the fuse holder looks different, but I do have a 70s OR120. Never thought to check if the fuse holder might fit in the Matamp. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Where To Buy Fuse Holders

It's been a while since I've been here. Hope to be back more often. Anyway I'm looking for a fuse holder, specifically the one that goes in the back panel of a Matamp for the fast acting one amp fuse. Any suggestions on where to buy one? Thanks guys.

Thanks. Oddly my schematic shows a 2A fuse, but the amp has 1.5A sharpied on it. I didn't know there was a question about the resistance measurement at the amp end of the speaker cable, but I know the cab and cable are good. Will measure though. I did notice that only the 16 ohm terminal at...

New Member, Help With 1968 Major Needed

Thanks for that info - I went to their website, and will call them. They're a bit of a drive for me - I tried a tech in Hollywood who did a got job on my 1968 Twin Reverb, but he didn't want to work on the Major. I'm kind of a dinosaur, but my gf (who turned me on to this site) will take some...

OK, the HT fuse has got continuity - would have been nice if it had been that easy - but that leads me to another question. The fuse per schematic is 2A, and the one in there is indeed 2A with voltage rating of 250V. Is that sufficient, or should I put in a 2A fuse with a higher voltage rating...

Appreciate that info. The speaker cab is a 1960A with G12T-75s that work fine, so I can use that to follow your suggestions. I haven't checked the HT fuse with a meter yet, but it looks good.

New Member, Help With 1968 Major Needed

Hi guys, I've got a 1968 Major that isn't working. The amp powers up, but I don't get any sound when I take it off standby. All the tubes are good, the power tubes draw about 40 mA each at the measured plate voltage of 600, so it should be within a safe bias range. Any and all suggestions...
