I currently use a Mesa oversized recto with my 2203KK and have to really dial the lows out, but it des sound killer. I'm looking for a full AV/BV stack to pair with it, but people on CL seem to be retarded with what they think these cabs are worth around here....
AV's pretty much got it. If you've got a job where you can take off for a few weeks they you are lucky.
Expect to lose money, live beyond exhausted, live off shitty food, have gear and personal effects ripped off, make lifelong friends and experience something most people never will....
Gotta disagree with ya Wisey....'Animosity' was a genre bending/defining album, as was 'Technocracy'(though not quite as good). Mike, Reed and Woody did something truly unique back in the day.
Here's a clip from our gig last night, we played with El Jeffe's band 'Cursed' in Cotati, CA
Listen to the 2203KK scream!

there you go. Definitely want to open the amp up a bit and roll back the gain on your mic/interface, let that marshall roar!
Mic placement seems decent.
Might also want to experiment with another mic elsewhere in the room, say a 58 10' away or so for some ambient/natural reverb.
yeah the rythm souunds a little 'buzzy' and metallic. Maybe try rolling back the bass and the gain a hair. How loud was the amp set? Might want to try cranking the volume and reducing the gain on the mic.
I used to do the same exact thing, smokey.
I've been considering picking up a Presonus Firestudio Project, its similar to the unit you posted, but its firewire instead of USB, which has the added benefit of being able to stack or daisy-chain multiple units for more simultaneous inputs...
at 7.50 a pair shipped I LOVE these earplugs. Can hear perfectly with them in and the band still sounds killer.
