I bought this amplifier in 2008 and sent it to Frank. I found him in NY by doing research on this board....
I got the amp back...it was awesome. Then life happened and its been sitting in storage for about 8 years. I took it out recently but had to have a bunch of work done to it for it to...
Plugging in my AFD100 for the first time in about 7 years lol.
I'd love some reverb and other effects while using that Marshall distortion. Is it possible with the ADA MP2? I've had that thing for almost 30 years! I'd rather not spend money on gear during the quarantine.
Thanks!
Ceriatone Marshall Plexi clone for sale. 100W with a master volume switch and knob. It really allows you to get the full range of Plexi sounds without blowing out your eardums, unless thats what you want to do lol. Nick from Ceriatone made this one. Its hand0-wired and just all around a great...
Well I got my 89 JCM800 2203 today. Back from Frank Levi. He modded it with his #34, #36, #39 mod. I love it. Im going to try and make some sound clips this weekend.
I have to try high power and low master.
All the Marshalls I own are meant to be played loud. Too much gain, on my amps, does make them muddy.
I need to build a sound proof room.
Thanks gblev. But, thats not a Slash Goldtop necessarily. Its Custom Shop Guitar Center 1960 RI. I did recently install the Slash Alnico II pickups. The guitar had the push pull knobs that were taken out for vintage style wiring. The tobacco burst is a Slash LP.
Jupiter is right, my error saying 34, just hat number has been on my mind with the AFD. Frank is a cool dude an ha been updating me daily with pics and clips.
Well finally got my Afd100 today. I gotta say it's cool. #34 mode is useless so far but I've only been playing it for 2 hours.
I can take pics if you guys want.
The "slash tone" is definitely there on AFD mode. But, I like my 2203 more.
Im very curious about this too. I have a 50 watt plexi, that can be 100 watt too...and a few JCM800 2203s which are also a 100 watt. WHat should I get?
