I found the RV50 head clean to break up relatively quickly. Speakers make a difference on volume. My guitar player who had it played in a 1960 cab with 75s (lower sensitivity)
Looking to sell my JVM 210H 100 watt head. Has foot switch never had a problem with it. Looking to sell in the DC/MD/VA area.
Looking for $750 or trade for Mesa rectifier series.
I'm assuming he was just wrong about turning it up. That would give the amp possibly more headroom. To get sag and saturation you need to lower the voltage. My Mark V has a variac power option that drops it down to 90v and you can def hear more saturation.
If you don't get use out of a couple of those amps I would get rid of them no question. Maybe not the Jub just because they are so hard to find. The clean on the Mark V is nice so take that into account.
Right, so they both have diode clipping (original 900) and there wasn't legal action against them saying all tube. So it doesn't seem to be an issue.
I think the HT-100 is a solid budget amp. I still have one.
Congrats man seems really cool. I've heard such good things about them. Can they put them in a normalish size headshell? It makes the mesa cab look small. hahaha.
I gigged an HT-100 and still own it. It definitely has some blanket over it type of deal. Its not very present at all. Little tough to hear live with 2 guitars. For the price its nice. I have since bought a JVM and Mesa Mark V.
Mesa Mark series will have you where you need to be, if money isn't an option. Amazing clean, good crunch, good metal. Use the 5 band EQ to dial it in how you like.
