The amp is now quiet.
I've replaced all the filter capacitors but the hum (or a part of it) was still there.
I've finally discovered that the problem was linked to the phase invertor.
There was a bad contact between the tube and the socket.

I was also thinking about the filter cap. From a visual point of view it looks ok but...:hmm:

Last week I've found a used Artist 30 combo (4203) in a garage sale. It was a real bargain. I didn't had the opportunity to test it but the price was a no-brainer so I took my chance and bring it back home.
I own other Marshalls from the eighties and I knew it was a hybrid...

I took Mickey's advices and use contact cleaner on the tubes sockets and on the pots.
Now my amp is working fine again. Looks like it's now a little more trebbly than it use to be.

Unfortunately the problem is back.
Exactly the same issue. I did not have any problem for ten days and tonight, while I was playing, volume goes down and no more lead channel. I can't believe my new V2 is blown away. This must be something else.:mad:
The last time when I was testing my premap...
I know I was suprised by the result as well.
Maybe v2 had a very low output level that didn't reach a specific threshold for the diodes bridge (of the lead channel):scratch:.
The lead master pot is now working as usual; when I had the proble it was not working at all.
I'll keep an eye on it anyway.
