    WTB - Pre-‘73/PCB Super Bass (1992) or Bass (1986)

I’m looking for either a 100W or 50W Bass head (1992 or 1986 circuits), ideally pre-PCB which I believe began in 1973. Essential maintenance is acceptable (bulgin to IEC, replaced mains selectors, caps) but replacements to the tone circuit (transformers, pots etc) would be a dealbreaker. I’m...

Jcm 800 2203 undoing previous mods.

I am curious if you can tell something about the mods on my jcm 800. It’s a 1986 2203. It has an extra preamp tube and it seems to be missing a couple of the stock parts on the board. I will attach some photos. Is it more work than it’s worth to put this amp back to stock. I will be in to it to...

Germino club 40 vs lead 55

Bass spec 1986 vs the lead 1987. I play mostly Hendrix AC/DC zeppelin. I occasionally need the amp to do Van Halen. Does the club 40 have enough gain on tap for zeppelin AC/DC and VH? Am I better off using a lead spec and bridging the channels for less bright clean tones?

I want to change to this value filtering to play with 1986 bass spec a little more but was wondering if jtm50 filtering was the same or similar if I...

Replaced The Mustard Coupling Caps On My 1986

Hey there compadres. Today I changed the venerated mustard coupling caps on my 1972 JMP 1986 with some generic MET axial caps of the same capacitance (got them from Justradio.com, good people with good caps). I've done it to all my SF Fenders before, few will object to replacing those leaky waxy...
