Its been a looooong time since Ive played through a full stack.
I currently have several 50 and 100 watt heads, and a 1960A cab and have enjoyed this combination for years, at home.
Am I crazy for suddenly wanting a 1960B or 1960bv to make it a full stack?
I realize the B cab alone will add some bass and depth, but besides that, am I crazy for wanting a full stack?
Am I really missing out on anything with only a 1/2 stack?

You'll be missing out on a couple of things. For starters, hearing loss. Also nostalgia. Oh, and back ache. That's about it I think. :)

In all seriousness, I still remember the first time I heard a full stack in person and it was literally awesome. I was in awe. If you have the means, why wouldn't you?

Full stacks are insane but it's a GOOD kind of insanity. Highly recommended. As are Etymotic High Fidelity earplugs, so you can enjoy the thing without necessarily going deaf, yet still hearing your playing pretty accurately.

I’ve got two B cabs, both 68’s with t1221 Pulsonics, and a couple of early Metalpanels that would probably sound killer through a full stack, but I’ve never really considered hooking them up. I already play as loud as my ears can tolerate so the last thing I need is more volume. And I go for 60’s/70’s sounds and don’t need alot of Bass.

I dont run mine stacked but side by side as i worry about it getting knocked over, depending upon stage floor. full stack look cooler. im running 4x12 with greenbacks and 4x12 with V30's btw.

I like the sound of 2 4x12s over a single 4x12, more bottom end and less harshness. But yeah, usually side by side instead of stacked.
Seems as though some would agree.....

Michael Schenker had two full stacks but I noticed only one amp was on and he only mic'ed the bottom cab so....?

We’ve run (4) 4x12’s on stage side by side. Each guitar player gets one on each side of the drummer thus (2) 4x12’s a side. Bass player too. Soundmen hate us but at least we don’t have to fight him for guitar in the monitors.

Yes! If you think you want a full stack, then you are correct!
Start hunting a B cab , they seem to be pretty hard to find.
Start booking larger venues so you can actually use it too!

I just labeled my rig so I can remember what speakers are where!
