I have searched a lot and finally got the missing parts.
The only thing that I am still searching for is the mounting bracket for the power transformer. Where can i find a stock part?
Question regarding original bulgin plug, should i leave it as it is with the IEC plug or replace it with an original?

Managed to track down some NOS parts and some original parts.
0.022uF Mullard
0.0022uF Mullard
0.68uF Mullard x2
A bunch of Iskra 0.5w
Dagnall T3715/T3556 PT
Also replaced the bias caps and did some cleaning of the chassi and tolex.
A huge thanks to Daniel Forsberg who installed the PT and did all the harness layout extremely professionally!
🙏
😊

Last things to do is to replace the big filter caps to F&T.
FYI the amp sounds killer!

I just bought a 71’ Marshall Super Tremolo. Very pleased to have found this amp. I am going to restore it, not that much to do thankfully! I wonder if anyone can sell me the following missing parts:

2 pcs of Black Bat Switch
2 pcs of Philips Mullard 160V 0.68uF
1 pcs of voltage selector

I am located in Sweden.

Kind regards Jacob

Congratulations. Sounds like a cool amp.

I am of no help for the parts, but maybe you should place an ad in the Members Classified section?

Good luck.

Please post some pictures.

Ok - if you resize it to 1024px longest edge you can post it. It’s just as easy to take shots on your phone, use an Image Size app, resize to 1024 and all will be fine.

Just to say it’s far better this way than the misery of Photobucket / hyperlinked hosted image posting of other forums.

I take photos with my iPhone, then I email them to myself. As soon as I hit send a message pops up giving me three file size options. I go with the middle option, which makes the files smaller. Then I open the email on my iPhone and save the photos. They are generally ready to post at this point. That’s how I do it.

I have a '71 Supertremolo and they are out of this world great sounding! Congrats and good luck with the parts. I see the black bat toggles on eBay form time to time. .68 Philips mustard caps are less easy to find, but others seem to find this stuff so it's possible with some persistence. Would love to see some photos of your new amp when you can.

Thanks! I managed to track down all the parts. I am just searching for the mounting bracket to the power transformer.
What number is on your power transformer? I bought a Dagnall T3715/T3556 if i recall correctly.

Very nice! I would have to crack open mine to check the transformer number for you I'll respond back with that when I have a chance to do so.

No bright cap? I have a 1972 Trem 100...I experimented with the bright cap in, different values or totally out(lifted a leg)....realized that the bright cap is very important in the aggression of the amp. I'd never buy one without. The original Lemco 5K caps are hard to find, but you can put a replacement in.
Great amp!

Great amp!
I have ordered a bunch of silver micas to play around with different values. My previously 73 Super lead sounded way too stiff with 4700pF. The preamp filtering in my Super Tremolo is 16uF + 16uF so I guess that it adds a more looser feeling.

I will try to find a vintage / NOS cap when I have decided which value for the bright cap.

The bright cap is important if you're running the amp at less than full volume. But if you're a dime-it-and-grin kind of player, a bright cap is of no consequence. :shred:

Yes fully aware of that😎 Vol 1 = 8. So a bright cap would affect in a minimal way. But I still want to install one. If it’s to harsh then I can blend in the normal channel a bit more 🤘🏻

Not true. I know, this is supposedly a known 'thing' and gets repeated similarly to the 'gotta change those 50 yr old caps!!' thing that is also false.
The worst and most obvious amp that I removed a bright cap to, and immediately put it back in was a 2203. Completely and utterly neuters the amp. Horrible and I cannot believe anyone would ever try to sell that bullshit.
But, when I got my 72, complete with 5K Lemco, I did experiment with it out, putting smaller values in, and leaving it, using both volumes from 0-10. It still takes away the aggression of the amp, and there IS a difference with no cap, on 10, and cap in, on 10. Not as obvious as the 2203 but it is still a noticeable change.

Not supposed to be that way, but my 72 has more 'hair' with it in and dimed, than with it out and dimed. So in it stays.

Glad you're getting the amp sorted, it looks like you've made great progress. If you're still looking to add P/T support brackets and update the power cable socket these are two products I have used with good success. The Bulgin to EIC at Valvestorm is a good option.

That's interesting to read your take on this because as mentioned, it differs from the conventional wisdom. I do have a few Marshalls with the bright cap removed and some with it because I don't modify original factory parts but some were like that when I received them. So I would say it can sound great both ways. I did however leave it out on my '86 2203. I also found an original Lemco and decided to "restore" my 1970 Superlead with it, but found I liked it better without it so it's just sitting in there with one leg attached for a future owner to decide. I felt the amp sounded more like the tone on Cream's Disraeli Gears without it and was hooked. Specifically, the clean to dirty tone on 'World Of Pain' with the twist of the volume knob, so I left the bright cap out:

My take on it is based on actual experiments done on two of my own Superleads, a '69 Plexi and a '73. I tried various bright caps and none at all. Switching the bright cap out of circuit with the amps dimed made NO discernible tonal difference.
