I have a 1986 Heritage H140 Custom. This guitar is a Custom made, one off, that came from the personal collection of Heritage Co-founder, the late, JP Moats. All the inlay work was done by the late, Mrs. Maudie Moore...who's legendary inlay work has been showcased on hundreds of Gibson guitars over the decades. She also did custom inlay work for Heritage and Martin.
This guitar is a true Custom Shop, one of a kind! Built by some the most skilled builders from the golden age of the Kalamazoo Gibson days! Also a very special build because it was specifically made for one of the owners of Heritage Guitars! So you know extra attention and premium woods were incorporated into this guitar!
This H140 has MANY CUSTOM FEATURES that you will not find on a standard H140....
AAAA Quilted Eastern maple top
Custom inlayed Indian Rosewood fretboard.
Custom inlayed rosewood headstock veneer
5 ply binding on the front and back of the body
3 ply bound rosewood pickguard
Bound rosewood truss rod cover
Custom inlayed rosewood volume and tone knobs
Rosewood toggle tip
Signed label by all the original owners and employees that worked on this guitar
Schaller TP6 fine tune tailpiece
This Kalamazoo classic plays and sounds GREAT!! There are NO BREAKS, NO CRACKS, NO REPAIRS. It has been played and naturally reliced. The buckle wear on the back is the worst of it. There are a few little dings on the top. The original frets are in great shape. It has a fresh setup with 10s...nice low action. The neck is a medium C carve. Truss rod functions as it should. The pickups are Schaller Golden 50s, not original to the guitar, but are era correct and most likely what was on the guitar when it left the factory. Original Heritage case included.
