Hey.

I've been dabbling with recording lately but I've run into an issue.

The power here sucks. Some motor noise (maybe a fan) or something is bleeding into my amps.

The bleed in gets filtered when I use my IR but I want my amp.

When I mic an amp, the noise comes through. (all my amps, 2 DSLs, 2 800s, Fender Blues Deluxe, no matter which one I use).

I do feed power to my entire rig including the interface, mixer, and laptop via a Furman M-8X2 Merit Series 8.

Any ideas on how to clean up the power in this place?

Town house so the solution must be between my rig and the wall.

What does this noise sound like (i.e. do you have a recording)? I presume that only the amps are producing the noise, so if you record a few seconds mic'ed without an amp on, you get a dead quiet recording, correct?

Do you get the same 'noise' if you plug only a lead into any of the amps?
