At what $ is a Marshall 1960 4x12 too good to pass up?

I am ridiculous, my basement already looks like an AC/DC concert b/c every time I see a $400 1960 cab on CL I buy it, sell the speakers for $200/quad and load in something I've been thinking of trying. Last night I see one in perfect condition for $350. Jeebus I need to stop, although I actually don't have a cab with stock 75s...

Anyone else do this?

Those are rare and that’s a good price

Did that help any?

10” speakers cut incredibly well, plus it’s so much easier to pack.
I've had a 1965 A&B stack.
Just can't jell with those 10" speakers, no matter how many there are.
Love my 5100 (head shell mod) through a 2x12 2556A.
If I got the 4x10, it'd soon be a 2x12 with the 10L-35's up for sale.

The 3210 is what I actually want.
Said to "need work", so free with the cab.
100w MOSFET stereo rigs... :hmm:

You say that like it's a bad thing...

I'm fortunate as the majority of the 1960s I see are either have 75's [I've not jelled with] or have a delusional price. More GB's or V30's wouldn't hurt my feelings but then I'd have to build another cab - that's my disease. I told my drummer son to pick the one or two he likes and dump the rest when I unplug.

If you want to ship that cab, let me know. :D

I bought it for $350, I think that’s my line. Ran the SLO through it, a 1960 with G12M greenbacks and a G12H30/V30 mix 1960. As usual I find the 75s scooped, the GBs a bit muffled and the G12H/V30 cab had more high mids and was more out front (my current fav configuration)—but I actually didn’t mind the 75s last night. I’ll keep it stock for now but undoubtedly I’ll swap em out eventually

There's two clean 1960 A cabs near me for $500. I already have a clean JCM800 1960A cab so I'm holding out for a clean B cab as mine is thrashed.

Also a C410A for $380.

I have two really nice 1966 cabs (A&B) I know the 1965 seem to be preferred but do the 1966 cabs hold any value? Not selling just curious.

I like them because 12" speakers are the more common, + they're light and compact. I have a pair of G12H Anni's and a pair of 25W GB's to go in them.

I think those C10 cabs were budget cabs from the 90s so they are likely to be particle board and heavy.

I would LOVE to add a 1966 stack to the collection!

I got the whole Artist 30 stack for $800. Couldn't pass it up. SC JCM800 20w head would look nice on top.

IMHO the 1966 doesn't sound as good as the 2061 2x12, but they are still really cool

My problem is a place to keep additional cabs. Plus, I'm not moving 4x12s up and down stairs if I can help it.
