Celestion G12L question...

I recently picked up a cheap Marshall valvestate 4x12 cab and it had the newer label Celestion G12L 35W speakers in it... any idea how these compare to the whiteback label G12L-35s? Same thing? Different?

Dont have an exact answer, but a cranked
Carlsbro 50 Top through a Valvestate 8412
sounded really good.

I have a 1960A where i put in late 70s Blackback
G12L Speakers, not bad at all in this cab, in the
open back combos where they came from they sounded kinda terrible, very directional, if i stepped one foot to the side the soundcharacteristics changed drastically and i could not hear myself anymore.

Thats all i know about G12L

Cool thing about the 8412 cab is that the
old Laney Gh Amps fit perfectly on top
