When you're done with the inputs: There seems to be something between p8 and p9 on V1. In the pic it looks like a wire strand.

You could go over and clean the octals (V4/5) also. Seems to be some residue left.

You may want to ensure there's good clearage circled:

Any wiggling of tubes etc are likely to cause a short.

Edit- this is especially important as the choke attaches to that leg of the screen resistor. Which means it has almost full B+ on it :pirate:

Thanks everyone for your help 1727640540794.png

Does anyone know where the black wire would go in this instance?

with the updated wiring like this

So the wire on the wire on the first turrent would go where in this?

Would it just wire straight to ground?

Great shall I wire it straight to the chassis ground lug or ground on the speaker jack by the bottom right corner of the resistor

Let's go with the chassis ground lug for now. If need be it can always be moved later. :yesway:

I was sort of off and on looking in to this thread, doing other stuff most of today; did you give it a general cleanup (valve sockets, solder splatters/debris)? Have the presence of bias and HT voltage been established? :)
