Hi guys
Does this 69 look original ?? Am I being paranoid or does it look too clean for a vintage amp ??

More photos would help but so far it looks straight though I see 2 plugged holes in the back panel. It's a model 1986 bass model. Nothing wrong with that. It's basically the "early" circuit. Need to see the transformers.

Thanks for that.
Actually not ideal that it’s a 1986 as I’ve already got a stock 70 Superbass and I’m not sure a 50 watt version of the same circuit is going to be an upgrade. Though I suppose a little less volume would be welcome. The Superbass is ALOT of amp.

I'd say the filter caps are definitely replacements, which is a good thing. The volume difference won't be that much, though, probably about 3-4dB so it's not your ticket to a 'domestic friendly amplifier'... Nice kit, though!

I see nothing that would make me thing it's not the real deal. It's just an amp that hasn't been ridden hard and put away wet many times. So it's had virtually nothing done to it other than capacitor replacement. I don't see what might have been done to it that would account for the back panel plugs but the red dye is present on every connection other than those that had to be touched to replace caps. It's about as clean and original and well maintained example as you're likely to find this many years down the road.

If the price is right, grab it. It's not likely to drop in value.

I would hold fire until @neikeel and @TAZIN chime in. The indicator light is definitely a modern replacement. The chassis has plexi panels with an early serial number and yet the cab appears to have a lip seen more with metal panel amps.
