Footswitch for JCM900 4502

Hi guys,

I have this little beast in my studio and I recently bought a APEX AFS2 footswitch, dual button, latching, same specs as the typicall Marshall Channel/Reverb footswitch, but with LEDs.

Works fine for channel switching, but the reverb switching doesnt work, and in fact, it automatically turns it OFF when I plug in. If I hit the switch, the LED switches on/off, but not the reverb.

Any tips ?

I'd verify the wiring of the AFS2. 4502 schematic shows a stereo footswitch jack & a #PED802 footswitch cabled using TRS with Tip=channel switch, R=Reverb & Sleeve=Ground. So...ground the tip, the channels switch. Ground the ring...reverb. Some good info with diagrams: https://www.tubesandmore.com/products/P-H471-LED(Marshall PED802)

If everything checks out...try lifting the LED form the Reverb side of the footswitch.
