I have a couple really cool cabs for your consideration...picked up both not long ago but decided to head in another rig direction. I haven't had a lot of interaction on this site (mostly glean great info here!), but have done hundreds of deals on TGP, MLPF, and ebay (kelmg).
Trades? Sure, let me know. Might be interested in:
- MI Audio Crunch Box
- Mooer/Eno/Donner Rat clone, Cruncher, Reecho, etc.
- Maestro MP-1 Phaser
- Landgraff LDO
- Effectrode Compressor
- MXR Super Badass
- Old school tone bender (MKI, MKII) or buzzaround
- Strat body/neck for a floyd project (vintage style)
1979 Marshall 2x12 cab
- As far as I know this dates to 1979. From what I've read it was possibly sold for the British market (with the odd side handles). Plywood construction with particle board back. It's similar to the early 80s model 1936, but this seems to predate that designation...perhaps a precursor? I have the original jack and the two wires connected to it...I cab throw in a couple others to complete wiring, but not sure I have the originals of those. Somewhat rare and cool vintage piece!
29.5" x 24" x 12"
For reference, here is the same model cab currently for sale on ebay:
Vintage Marshall 2x12 A Serial Cabinet | eBay
It definitely shows some tolex wear as well as a couple grill cloth holes, but certainly not trashed...my plan was going to replace a couple corners and put checkerboard cloth on it.
It's currently unloaded, but I have a set of Greenbacks I can load it with (see below).
$250 unloaded, or $400 loaded with the Celestions (plus actual shipping)
Custom built Bluesbreaker style 2x12 combo cab
- Gorgeous white combo cab with classy gold piping that should fit most Marshall style plexi chassis. Not sure about who built it...Mojotone, Swanson, or some similar builder perhaps? It appears really well made, rock solid plywood construction. Some wear on the tolex but overall in very good shape. Nice heavy duty harness and jack.
28" x 20" x 10.5"
Currently loaded with a pair of 8ohm Celestion Greenbacks, but would sell unloaded.
