So I just aquired this OT from a guy clamning it to be a Drake 50w OT.
The sticker on it is damaged and some body has written c.2723a on it, I removed the endbells to confirm any numbers on the inside but without any luck.
Did not find much info on this OT on the net and I highly suspect its a scandinavian OT (it only has 2 taps and a common on the Secondary so 4 and 8ohm) and im unsure about the taps/color-coding.
The colors on the secondary are : yellow, brown, black

The brown is common, Im sure.

However i tried to measure/calculate the primary impedance and hooked up my variac on the primary and feeded it with AC until I read 1v on the secondary tap on the yellow wire (on the secondary)
It took 14v to get 1v on the other side so 14x14= 196 and 196x8= 1568ohms
Did the same on the black wire on the primary, then it took 20v for 1v
So: 20x20=400 and 400x8 = 3200ohm.
So my question is : is this a 50w OT or a 100w OT?
And which (color) tap is the 8 ohm and the 4 ohm
Regards

7 tubes on sticker if it’s original = 100w. Looks identical to a late 70s 2203, etc.
~3.4k DCR would be for 50w, half that for 100, right? Curious it only has one secondary tap.

It has two taps on the secondary, like 4ohm and 8 ohm

Or

8ohm and 16ohm

After further calculation :
For 50w operation choosing 3,2k primary impedance : the impedance ratio on the yellow wire was 196= 3200/196= 16,32

And for the black wire 3200/400= 8

So that meaning yellow wire for an 16ohm cab, and the black wire for a 8ohm cab.

For a 100w operation choosing 1,75k primary impedance it would be :
1750/196= 8.9ohm for the yellow wire

And 1750/400= 4.375ohm cab for the black wire.

Correct me if im wrong?
