Here's the latest from Vinny. On SRV's Couldn't Stand the Weather he is playing a 2014 Gibson Melody Maker and on The Thrill Is Gone he's playing his 2009 Gibson Studio Faded. The amp is whatever they had on the stage. I never close enough to see. Pretty sure he's playing through an Ibanez Distortion pedal. No other effects.

Yeah he tried it for this song and it was so much brighter than his studio faded, it just sounded right. So, now I have to lug around two guitars when he plays. At least they had a decent amp. Usually he makes me bring his DSL40. It's cumbersome.
