A friend of mine has this highly modded 11,000 series serial number small box 1987 plexi. He literally forgot he had it until he found it at his parent's house recently! THEN he remembered it! Must be nice to have SO many amps you can just totally forget you have this!
Even I, optimist that I am, would judge this one to be beyond restoration. You just rock it as it is. And it does sound quite good.
FIVE preamp tubes, a fully tube buffered FX loop, channel switching, and the entire original turret board has been replaced by a well made custom PC board.
Does anybody recognize that board so the identity of the modder can be determined? It's somewhere around 20 or more years old, he says.
How long has F&T been making their black label capacitors? Supposedly that was installed when the mod was done. I thought they were newer than that?
