I'm really liking my 4x12 with 1980 65's pair with my 1980 2204

So I have a A and B cabinet and my head is a 1980 JMP 2204 , the B cab has 4 1978 25W black backs but originally came with 1979 65's which are in my JCM800 combo and a 2x12 cab . Yeah pretty dam cool ! The A cab has has 4 1980 65's . I only use one at a time , they don't sound well together . I got to say the 65's and this amp belong together , like a match made in heaven. I thought the 25's would be my favorite but no . So I'm thinking I should put the 1979 65's I have back in the B cab and run them together and see how it sounds ? Remember it's all just for fun , I'm a working man but I love my Marshalls !

No matter which way you accomplish it, I'm gonna bet that the 65's will sound even better in the "B" box than in the "A" box! Likely more low to low mid grunt and a bit more clear in the high end and a tiny bit less honky. Not truly dramatic, but certainly noticeable.

Ì have 1935A and I don't feel like it's lack of bass.
Considering B cabs have more bass, I would not prefer B over A with this speakers.
If it's "perfect match" - 2204 with 65s in A, just play it.
But it's a free world...

or flip the A cab upside down, like some folks do..or sideways depending on how u like the eq coming out. wouldn't put a head on a flipped A cab of course

wasn't Black In Back recorded thru G1265's ?
