Here is a '73 JMP 50W in very good condition.
It has to be one of the last PTP amps that Marshall made.

It's so clean it hardly seems real! Was that sitting in a cryogenic chamber for 30 years?

I see you've worked black magic on it - the trannys aren't even rusting! My ML100 is only a couple months old and the transformers have rust on the edges.

That thing looks like it just came off the assembly line a few minutes ago. Glorious.

Damn that's clean. I've got a '73 50 watter too but it looks, erm, a bit more battle worn than yours!

Interesting that it has mustards in it. Mine was one of the very last PTP (March 73) and it has the TCC rectangular Beige caps.

That is very sweet indeed. But it's not one of the last turretboard amps, per se, since the PA models continued to use turretboards right up until they stopped making them altogether. Which was at the very earliest some time in '75, maybe later still.

You're right. I know that the eightholers were PTP in 1974,
but do you know if the fourholer PA's also were PTP after mid '73?

By fourholer PA, do you mean the metal cased PA mixer heads?

I really can't believe you're selling that beauty though, Janarn!
