My first Les Paul standard.
It has been with me since the day we've met.

Small headstock with Gover rotomatic tuners
One-piece mahogany body
No dead notes whatsoever

The only grievance I had was its wrapped-around stop-piece which I took the liberty to enhance it with a decent schaller bridge properly. The original potted PAFs were replaced after I found myself a set of 57 Classic Zebra PAF in '98. The Grover rotomatics were replaced with Gibson deluxe green keys at the same time.

"Something about the telecaster I once had ..............

My first guitar was a cheap red Hagstrom. I don't recall the model but looks quite similar to these images. After I got myself a new black humbucker-neck Telecaster with maple fingerboard, I disposed of the Hagstrom as I found its switches acting funny. Then my third guitar was a new deep red Les Paul custom. Eventually I traded off the tele and the LP custom for a used LP in a heartbeat. It has been with me ever since. The guitar strings were wrapped around a stop tailpiece without a tune-o-matic bridge. Soon enough, I made up my mind and started "taking matters into my own hands". I restored it back to its original form with a Schaller STM Bridge and replaced the old potted neck & bridge pickups with new zebra '57 classics. That's another story."
