An unexpected New Amp Day

This is the HELL of an Amp !!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I got a Marshall 2000 from 1981.

250 W !!!!!!

Someone in this Forum said its only 3 db louder than a 200 W Major.
These 3 db´s makes you ears bleeding !!
Nothing for Bedroom.
Be sure: On Volume 2 the woodworms come out of their holes!

Congratulations on the Model 2000. I have never seen one in person and only a couple on the net.

I for one would LOVE to hear a simple recording of this beast.

Thanks for sharing.

David

A rare beast! What do you play it through? Have you cranked it full out yet?

I can't imagine what all new tubes must cost! It's like changing the oil on a Ferrari...not easy or cheap!

I played some Stones stuff.
Honky Tonk Woman on Volume "6" , it´s not only moving some air, things fall out of the shelfes, dust from the ceiling..........
........and a lot of GOOD vibrations.

I have no cabs which stand Volume over 6.

I bought the Amp full serviced, so I have time to save some money!

Both my cabs can handle 320 watts...you might look for some 1982's with the G12H80's or 100's.
