Hello, I bought online this cabinet Marshall 1935B, I still have not received it and I was wondering what year it may be and what speakers should be inside. I would appreciate any help request. Thank you

the screws on the back cover look good ... they are not manipulated and everything indicates that the original speakers will be there, another thing is the state in which they are. Thanks for your help.

I would think some G12M25 T1511's would be original as it is a 100 watt cab for bass. Great looking cab and good job!

Yesterday I got the cabinet. The first thing I tried with a JMP head and it sounds fantastic, but when you open the back cover there has been a very strong smell of moisture, the speakers below have a bit of rust and the black cardboard membranes had some white mold. I applied a little WD-40 with a brush and with another dry brush I removed the white mold from the membranes. Nor was it too exaggerated but I don't think it's good for the speakers. I will leave it open a few days because where I live the environment is dry and I think the moisture inside will go away. I think the altavices are from 1975/76. Thank you

the photos aren't showing, unless you right click and open in new window.

Looks like a nice cab from late 73. HF = Aug 73, JF = Sep 73. Those speakers are right on the transition from pulsonic cones to RIC cones, and from green backs to grey backs. The top left speaker is a pulsonic, you can see the '4' stamp, but you will need to check the others. Any RIC cones might be blank or have a yellow chalk marking on them.

Damp marks on the cones is not a good sign, always get the speakers out and check them over. This should help:

Mainly you will want to check the spider supports. Very common problem, especially if the speakers have been damp. They will need repairing if they are lifting off.

Be careful getting the speakers out if they are stuck to the baffle. Don't try to yank them out with brute force it will rip the cones. Use something thin and metal, like a feeler gauge, underneath until they are completely loose.

Also try to preserve that wiring harness. Unsolder the wiring, rather than cutting through it.

Bygone Tones, Thank you very much for your comments and advice, the speakers are several different codes. I thought it was 75 ... but if you say it is 73 much better, I will leave a few days more open the back cover to vent and moisture out.

I would love to see some photos. Can't open them, or see them.
I have a 1973 1935A cab. One of the best cabs I have ever had for tone.
