Hi!! Just got this Marshall JCM 800 2204 50W. It is supposed to be a 1987. Is there any way to read the date from the serial number? Still have to open it an look on the chassis.. thanks

If it was modded before, do what you will. If it was not, you’d be far better off leaving it alone with all the aftermarket accessories that provide gain and FX loops and the value of having an unmolested one after 3+ decades of Ppl fucking the originality out of these (becoming more scarce as original) amps

Absolutlety no mod on these amps as the are original.

hi gdx65 S/A X22037 is my JCM800 2204 year 1987 has drake transformers too
