Hey guys,

I was wondering what your experiences are with the amp?
How is this amp for just home practice?
I've read mixed reviews about this amp. Apparently not many of those were built so they're quite rare to find. Would 600 dollars be a fair price?

Thanks!

Sitting comfortably in the mix
I have one and I think its great.

Dont use the OD channel much but the clean is lovely, always sounds good.
Dont use the reverb much either, I have a couple of reverb pedals that are more adjustable and have more options.

Nothing wrong with the SL5 reverb or distortion, its just I get bored with the same tone so I always want to change it to keep it new.

Plays well at low volume, I tend to keep it on 3 or 4 and set the vol with pedals.

I paid a lot less than 600 dollars but UK prices for 2nd hand Marshalls are much lower than USA.

I think these amps are collectable as Slash did have a role in designing and playing them, its not just rentaname.

Compared to modern amps there are some things missing, no DI out, no cab sim, no headphones out.
Also no FX loop but I guess thats a design choice.

But I have pedals with those so its no problem for me.

Sounds great, good speaker, easy enough to carry but has a proper 12 inch speaker.

Great clean channel. Gain is good but not real vintage sounding.
Made in UK. Can be bedroom amp.
Amps keep going up so I'd grab it.
