Haven't been checking Marshall models closely until recently and you really can't tell which are still in production and which are not.

Thought the YJM was still being made - Same for the old DSL/TSL or the Class 5.

They do not separate them and you have to be doing a lot of browsing through retailers to understand what's current and what's not.

:wtf:

I'm just happy when they get around to posting the official demos, months after the amp is debuted at some trade show. Your best bet is to follow the forums here. You will quickly learn when new models come out and when old ones are discontinued.

Yeah but it makes some great throne room reading that first afternoon of amp ownership. :D

When products are discontinued Marshall lets the distributors know, they have the option of making a final order and then it’s down to them to relay the message to their dealers, and in turn you the customer, Marshall does not announce this. It does confuse things having discontinued listed or in part of the heritage section of the website, but it does make it easier for players to find each product especially when some of them do so well on the second hand market.

Also, when Marshall discontinues any product, it still takes some time for it to sell all the way through from the shop. For example, the JMD1 was discontinued 10 months ago, and they’re still some around, same thing with the Class 5. Marshall still provides support for those amps too.
