Another addition to the arsenal, and this one is a beautiful Hiwatt DR103 from 1972! I'll add some pictures, and perhaps some of you Hiwatt experts could tell me if I've got something good going here, and whatever else you feel like letting me know! I paid 3000 $ for this one. Seems more or less original, I think. . .

The pictures are from the previous owner - a nice woman who bought it in London, 1995.

congrats. Every time I see the gut shots of a Hiwatt, I am blown away. Take a look at pretty much any Fender hand-wired (as they were) from the same year. It looks like a spaghetti monster vomited in there.

Thank you :) They look incredible, these Hiwatt amplifiers!
Is that your Fender?
I have read that even the wire layout and the way they were twisted adds to the tone. How much I don't know. Not long ago I was looking at the "Hey What" amps that Ceriatone makes. (copy of Hiwatt amps) There are some pretty good video's on Hiwatt that explain quite a bit about them, who used them back in the day, stuff like that. David Gilmour & Pete Townshend used them a lot. They are said to be a great pedal platform as well. This is a vid to check out, and u tube has a bunch. Congratulations on a good score!

Wow, I'm super jealous! Congrats

Steve Fryette has done a bunch of work on these lately and his stuff on YouTube is a great resource.
