Found this Orange used at a local GC. Too bad they were open - because I bought it lol!!!

Orange Rockerverb 100 MKIII. Mint!

Holy flipping LOUD amp!!! And Heavy!!! Massive iron in these British made Oranges!

Funny is that I was going to look at a used ENGL Savage MKII which are polar opposite of Orange. So many switches and modes and MIDI on top of it all. But it had a busted input jack so I passed. Couldn’t even plug in to try.

So stumbled on the Orange and played it for half an hour. Sold!!! That one was new (actually an Orange demo unit that wasn’t for sale) but another GC nearby had it used so I rushed over.

I realized how heavy these bastards are when lugging it back to the car.

The Orange is now gone. Lasted 24 hrs. hahaha... I didn't like it as much once it was home and I could play with my own gear (guitar, cab)....
LOL that was a short honeymoon! I've been through a few Oranges myself, never really could get on with them although I do have a Terror Stamp as a backup amp thats not so bad as long as you use it as a pedal platform. Maybe better luck with the Engl. :yesway:

Negative on the ENGL. It had a broken input jack.

BUT... found this by chance at a killer price locally. Absolutely mint.

Ha Ha that was short lived romance.
we actually have a song about this kind of love in my country.
Anyway between the two I would keep the orange. the rockverbs are awesome amps.
But yeah they are more spongy than ENGLS and diezels.
As a 3 ENGL amplifiers owner I can tell that from the 3 the ENGL would have been my choice.
the Savage MKII is on my wishlist and is one hell of an amp.
But yeah, i wouldn't go near a broken ENGL. they are hard to fix.

that was a one night stand. I bet that amp felt dirty and used. :) did you do the walk of shame back to the music store telling the Orange, "its not you, its me"...? lol...
