I knew the basics, but never thought I would have the opportunity to run 4 cabs...I was happy when I saw there was a 4 Ohm setting with this head...I have played fests before where cabs were provided, but they were 8 Ohm, and the JCM900 does not have the 4 ohm output so no stack (only visually) for those shows...

The 900's o/p transformer DOES have a 4 ohm tap (it's only used in the combos which have no 16ohm setting available) so potentially you could connect 4 cabs to a 900 by moving a couple of wires, or fitting an additional jack in the same fashion as the DSL's

I highly recommend replacing the shitty ohm plug with rotary style.

The tech has to slightly widen the hole with a Dremel but an easy, cheap and worthy upgrade.

I had a JMP in the 80's and lost that damn plug every gig.

Plus they can fall out and/or arc.

Congrats on the JMP 2203, best amp ever made IMO and the benchmark i have judged all other amps for 36 years and counting.

On mine, there is tape residue...dude would just tape over the plug to keep it in place...

Prolly, lots of dewds do that. Also make sure the holes are clear and the plug fits properly.

Lots of crud builds up.

I could not be happier with this rig...Used it at our show on Friday night and sounded amazing...

Regarding the cab...was able to ohm out and just like you said, 13.7 Ohms...

Bottom right speaker??? Something to be concerned about? Cab sounded great!!

Okay, so $500 total for a 100 watt JMP 2203 + 1960B half stack with Blackbacks... B CAB halfback.

Hot damn, you did well!

Those are the 30 watt 55 hz Blackbacks, highly desirable.

Don't worry about the missing cover, not an issue.
