Hi all,

I just bough a SC20H and 1936V 2x12 cab.
According to Thomann the cab is: 2x 70 Watt mono / stereo 2x16 OHM or 1 x 8 OHM.

Can someone tell me what I plug from the amp to the cab? Im totally clueless with that stuff.

Using a speaker cable, connect the 8 ohm jack on your SC20H and the 8 ohm Mono jack on your speaker cabinet. Please do not use an instrument cable.

If your 1936V was purchased new it probably shipped with a budget speaker cable. It will work fine. At some point down the road it's a good idea to get a better quality cable with 14 gauge or even 12 gauge wire. Your amp might have shipped with one too, I can't recall if they do or not.

As already mentioned.

Congrats to great amp and cab!

So now the cab plays with both speakers on stereo? By the way I have a torpedo captor 16 ohm. Should I connect it with the 1x16 output?

That is hooked up correctly. But it is not in stereo, it is in mono. The most basic way I can describe it is that, in mono, the two speakers are being driven in tandem by a single signal from your amp. If it were in stereo each speaker would typically be driven by two separate signals. Maybe someone else has a better explanation than me but that is how I think of it in basic terms.

I would not hook up your Captor if it only supports 16 ohms. You might be able to insert a dummy 1/4" plug into one of the jacks, then the Captor into the other in order to configure a dummy stereo signal path, but you'd only have one speaker in use in that scenario.

HNCD!
The right input / 16 ohm stereo jack is a switching jack that disconnects the parallel connection between the speakers.
Using just this jack will give you one speaker at 16 ohms - the other speaker will get no signal.
You can run the Captor from the 16 ohm amp jack to this cab jack.

By the way I mean amp to captor to sound card for direct recording.
Not as an attenuator where you have to connect it between the head and the cab.

The Captor is a load box - no speaker is required.
Just connect to the 16 ohm amp jack to use the DI.

DON'T connect the speaker cab direct to an 8 ohm amp jack, AND the Captor to the 16 ohm amp jack at the same time.
