Hi,

I have Origin 20 combo. I ran into a little issue with DI Out. When used with clean tones, it sounds ok. But when I push the amp into overdrive, DI Out sounds fuzzy and bright. According to manual, there is a speaker emulation. It sounds like there's no speaker emu at all!
I am using an unbalanced instrument cable straight into my Apollo interface, no additional processing applied.
Playing through amp regular speaker sounds ok, but I don't like DI at all.

I read on the forum that someone had similar issue, didn't understand if it was solved..

Thanks

:welcome: to the forum.
Marshall DI out sucks.
It hasn't been "solved".
For better results, run speaker out to a full load interface.

Here is my secret. I run my amps DI into my NUX MG-300. Bypass the amp model and select a cab or own IR. Then use effects accordingly. Sounds amazing. I know what you mean by how it sounds dry. I always thought this too until I started using IR's. This is my method for recording now. Easy and effective. You can do a test with or without it and hear how it instantly changes it. I still can't believe how well it works. No more micing too! Torpedo capture IR would be a choice too but more expensive.
