Question : You're a guitarist yourself. Who are your musical heroes?
Ulrich Rodenberg : Ritchie Blackmore is definitely the hero of my youth. Eddie Van Halen and Steve Vai have also accompanied my musical path to this day. Later, Jeff Beck, Gary Moore and Steve Morse also played major roles. With Lee Ritenour, I even have one of my long-time musical idols on my client list. November 16th, 2008

A separate footswitch to hit the extra gain or fat option is most desirable to bring out its full potential, as pointed out by so many consumers since its release. Ulrich Rodenberg is probably working on an upgraded version right now. I am going to hold my horses in the meantime. Remember that temptation always comes from our own desires.

Hi NumbSkull,

Just like hartguitar mentioned in his video,

Rodenberg British Legend BL 800 Less gain More attack More edge

Rodenberg British Legend Deluxe High gain More compressed

Perhaps it is better to wait for an upgraded version with an additional footswitch, BL 800 and BL Deluxe alike, in my humble opinion. If Ulrich Rodenberg care to listen to our voices, I definitely consider they are products with utmost sincerity.

Those are some good looking pedals!

I do like a good sounding MIAB pedal. Checking the tones out right now.

Nope. Not into them. Wish the designer the best though.

Do I need another Plexi in a box ?

4 of the Lion Super Lead could possibly get me a SV20H in a box

4 x Lion Super Lead $1600
1 x SV20H in a box $1750

"True Hardwire (True Bypass) :
(This is what Fulltone, Way Huge, Zvex and many boutique pedals use)
Both the input and output of the effect are mechanically disconnected in bypass. The signal has a clean, untouched path from in to out. This requires at minimum of a DPDT switch. In recent years a 3PDT switch has been used to achieve true hardwire bypass with an LED.
Pros: Makes people happy. No signal loss when power cuts out. Keeps signal clean when pedal is disengaged.
Cons: Costs more to implement, can’t drive long chains, possible switching ‘pop’. When many true bypass pedals are chained together and there are long cables from the pedals to the guitar and amp a large capacitance can build up from the long cable runs (including all those little patch cables and the wires in the pedals themselves) causing substantial high end loss.

Relay True Bypass (some Wampler pedals)
In addition, electromechanical relays can be used instead of a mechanical switch to do the effect bypassing. Hardwire Relay and True Hardwire Relay are basically the same as their switch counterparts. The difference is that the relays are switched by a small current sources sent from the foot switch instead of the switch actually switching the audio.
Pros: Usually there is a shorter distance from the input jack to output jack when in bypass mode and it reduces the chance for capacitance (high end loss) and noise. More robust foot switch can be used leading to longer foot switch life. No signal loss when power cuts out. Keeps signal clean when pedal is disengaged.
Cons: Requires more power and reduces battery life. Costs more to implement, can’t drive long cable runs, possible switching ‘pop’. When many true bypass pedals are chained together and there are long cables from the pedals to the guitar and amp a large capacitance can build up from the long cable runs (including all those little patch cables and the wires in the pedals themselves) causing substantial high end loss."

I am very close to getting this, I think they can load the same toneprints
Yes, they do.

The TC Electronic Infinite Sample Sustainer has built-in three Tone Print slots. Tone Print channel one is a sustainer and a slapback reverb/delay. Tone Print channel two is a large, atmospheric reverb and a slow flanger. Channel three is reserved for your customized needs. On the other hand, the Alter Ego V2 concentrates on vintage delay sounds for the nostalgic gear head. The Infinite Sample Sustainer is a multi-task pedal whereas the Alter Ego is a straight vintage-vibed echo pedal. I like the Alter Ego for what it is. Together with the MXR Carbon Copy, the Alter Ego can let me concentrate in finding everything from sweet saturated EchoPlex* repeats, the unique magnetic drum delays of the legendary Echorec*, an exclusive modulated take on TC’s own 2290 delay unit to tons of other classic echo tones.
