I am not a fan of either. I tried liking the Tumnus. It's flat.
I do not appreciate SD Broadcaster on my Warmoth Tele build, either. I believe SD said that it's his favorite pickup. So, I keep trying to like it. I almost ordered a Humbucker to replace.
However, coupled together, the Tumnus (cascading with ToneBone Hot Brit) I now have a new pickup. It just crunches tone. It beats what the Broadcaster was doing for me. My Warmouth is a virtual 52. Baseball bat neck.
I'm trying to avoid cascading ODs. I used to do it A LOT. Now I'm playing through Buddas, both 30 & 45. And Fargen Mighty/Mini Plex.
