For sale is my Suhr SL 68 100 watt Plexi. This is version 1 of the Suhr SL series. If you're not familiar with these amps they essentially are one of the best representations of a Marshall 1968 plexi that is made. Hand wired construction. The amp does have a stock post phase inverter master volume on the back which works very well. The amp also has a 3 way variac switch on the front panel. The three position power switch incorporates a low power Variac™* mode which lowers the amount of voltage available to the amp. This classic mod makes the amp feel much more spongy with a smoother attack.

The amp is in excellent condition. (I wont say "mint" because there is a small small little nick in the covering in one spot and one of the transformers is slightly askew for whatever reason. Very well may have come from the factory that way for all I know).

Local Minnesota sale only. I am willing to drive a bit within reason to meet someone but am not looking at shipping. (No shipping box!).

If this is still available a few weeks from now, I may be interested in making a deal for it. Though I'm not local to you, I have an easy shipping solution. I can send you my Anvil case that fits full size Marshall heads and prepay return shipping. Would that be sufficiently easy for you?

HI Matthew. I actually have a local deal thats pending the buyer coming up with the cash and us finding a time to meet. That said, if its still available in a few weeks I'd absolutely do that. No problem. Thx.

No worries if I miss it. Other opportunities will come along. I want to experiment with many variations on the Plexi and will be able to afford to do so going forward.

I've had a 70's 50 watt Marshall, Ceriatone 100 watt plexi and now this one. I would say that this one is definitely the best of the bunch. John has got the parts paired perfectly for great tone and performance. This amp has much more harmonics and bloom than either of the other 2 that I've had. No comparison. I've never had an amp that you roll back the guitars volume and the tone cleans up so well.
