Hey MF'ers:

I'm working on an AVT150 that has a blown output chip and when it blew it also burned a few traces on the board. Those can easily be fixed/bypassed with wire, however, there are parts of the board where the solder mask is gone and needs to be repaired. Before you ask, I did look to just replace the board, however, they don't seem to be in stock anywhere. Also, I can rebuild both output boards for half the price of one new board.

Has anyone used an overcoat pen like this one? While it looks ideal for covering traces, as you can see in the pic below, there's a larger exposed area by C2 & C3 and not sure how the coverage with those pens work?

Edited to add: I read on another forum that for small jobs like this, techs will often use clear nail polish. I’m going to look into that a little deeper too.
