I'm finally diving into the digital recording world and I decided to go with Studio One, mostly because a few of the guys in my musical circle have been using it.
Right now I only have the "starter kit" if you will. Artist 3 and the little blue direct box. I haven't completely messed with every Ampire model and all that, and you can get some pretty useable sounds out of it as is, but the buddy who got me into all of this tells me that another cat he records with uses a Line6 Pod as an interface instead of the AudioBox and it makes a huge improvement. Most of the time firing up the Marshalls is unrealistic for our purposes so I was hoping that you guys had some good direct-in advice for noobs like me. Any advice at all, for that matter, would be appreciated.
