Ive just come into the possesion of a valvestate 8040 which was dead due to lots of pot failures.
Ive replaced the pots and now we have a lot of hiss when the boost channel is switched in.
The hiss gets worse as the volume and gain are increased.
Anyone have an idea where to start? op amp? cap?
