So, lets see, a 73 with its drop down PT replaced with stand up, OT replaced, on/off switch replaced, rear panel opened out for modern selector and the asking price is £3k - the guy is flying a kite!

I swear the second hand Marsh market has gone mad. Are people being greedy or just desperate to make some money in these hard times?

Maybe I haven't been around long enough, but I think it's been going on for a while. As my friend likes to say: "there have always been people with 'delusions of grandeur' about their gear".

I remember LA Craigslist ~10 years ago was a minefield (and surely still is). Late 70s cabs for $3000, a "Rare Plexi Bluesbreaker" (actually a beaten up Popular) that belonged to "local celebrity" such-and-such for $5000, and so on.

Reverb has just provided a global platform for these people to congregate.
