Mine has to go to " '39"

Funny that it happens to be one that Brian is doing lead vocals on...but man...he's completely under-rated as a singer.

FUcking Roger Taylor... Completely under rated as a drummer and a vocalist.

"39" is one of my faves. I read somewhere that that song falls in order as the 39th song if you put their albums in chronological order. I am wondering if Brian knew that, or if it was just pure coinkydink?

But man, way too many to just name one . . or even ten.

And as much as I appreciate Brian doing the lead vocals on that studio version of "39", Freddie doing it live is freakin' awesome. This vid clip just gives me goosebumps:

The '77 Earl'sCourt is not bad either, but they had a better tempo on this Houston show. But the video quality is not as good.

Something as simple as this acoustic set just shows how amazing these guys were . . . besides everything they have done in the studio.

The broad range of fans Queen appeals to is simply amazing. You're just as likely to see a Queen discussion on a guitar forum as you are an interior design, wood-working or even a military forum. Not many bands I know of are capable of that.

Something as simple as the acoustic guitar parts and nice solo as well in "Who Needs You". and the harmony electric guitar dubs in there as well. At the end of that song, the way it ends, I realized it sounded like something that would fit into the Rubber Soul album from The Beatles. Amazing.

I was listening to that News Of The World remaster in my car coming home from work a few weeks ago and was just floored by that song. I guess it was something I always took for granted. As well as the song "All Dead, All Dead" on the same album. I guess i never heard them like that before. And i have been listening to that album since I was 12 years old.

:D

And then there's all the Rockers as well.

Have any of you gave Made In Heaven a good listen as well? The story how they put that album together after Freddie passed on was beyond amazing.

What specifically touches me about the "Made in Heaven" record is how on the song "Mother Love" which in it's own right is a BEAUTIFUL song, was the last thing that Freddie ever recorded, and never finished. Brian finished the vocals.

Queen - 'Don't Stop Me Now' - YouTube

This was the song I sang the first time I did karaoke... No bullshit...people were shocked that I pulled it off...HAHA

LOL. That's cool. I was just talking about karaoke with one of my jamming buddies on the phone just a bit ago. He bought a nice karaoke machine for $100. I have never tried it myself though. But I could do Beatles all night long. Mostly Lennon's stuff, as that is how my voice sounds pretty much. People always tripped out at gigs when I would pull something like "A Day In The Life" out of my ass between sets - just me playing guitar and singing.

My voice is somewhere in Brian May's range and tone as well.

I am probably thinking you are along the same thinking as me in guitar tone and even more so May's tone on the Jazz album . . .

Jazz is definitely my favorite Queen record over all.
