Who's going to be the last man standing?

On a stage in front of one or more 4 x 12s?
I'm a die hard amp guy - I've seen modellers onstage and always gone meh but I went to a jam last night - one guy had a headrush and another guy had a zoom I think and they were both great.
I'm now wondering about buying one - tonex looks like the one. I suppose it's good I didn't get into this a few years ago - things seem to be moving pretty fast.

I have a tonex and very happy with it. For just a few profiles I use I have it in the loop of an old GT-5 for effects. I'm working on putting it in the loop of a helix lt and probably downsizing to a tonex one. That all depends if I can get anything out of the helix that will work with my amps.
