The mains light goes off when the amp cuts out. It is like someone pulled out the power cord. When this happens, I turn off both switches and wait a couple of minutes, turn on the switches and then the power comes back on. I checked the bias and it is set at .78V so it must have been lowered...
I am working on my bandmates 1999 DSL401 that is powering off intermittently. When it powers off, all power is cut just like a blown fuse or someone disconnected the power cord. I just installed a 80mm fan on the back grill as suggested in previous threads and it is still powering off...
I have been running the amp for several hours with both an acoustic and electric guitar pugged in and so far, so good. Hopefully this solves the problem.
