I play in a cover band that goes from 80's well into the 2000's musically. The HJS can cover it all. Some say you can't get the modern high gain tones but I say you can. OD2 in red with mid shift on, presence at 7, resonance at 4, bass at 7, mid at 3, treble at 4 and gain at 7 gets you pretty...
For a while I was running my GT-10 with the Marshall, worked flawlessly. Midi switching was instant and the effects that were routed through the loop played very well.
Once you learn how to get around in the Pod you'll be fine. I can set up a patch in the GT-10 in about 2 minutes now.
So far I'm loving the tones I get with this little head, im just running into an issue with the loop. Running from effects send>Empress Nebulus>reverb>TC Flashback X4>return. When I engage the Nebulus I get a slight distortion on the clean channel. If I plug the same setup into my JVM410HJS...
Couldn't the print just be reversed and the chassis be bottom mounted? Is there a physical difference between a top mount and bottom mount other than the print?
WOW!! That is surprising. While it's not my JVM410HJS I do think it is a killer 20 watt head. I suppose if you're not into high gain then Peavey certainly isn't the way to go as most of their heads deliver that, and that is why I LOVE it. I can dial my volume knob back to get it crunchier and...
I was lurking around at the guitar store yesterday and plugged into the 20 watt Valve King head. Wow!!! Snagged it up immediately. Killer little head, can't wait to try the XLR out to the board for live!! 20/5/1 watt, FX loop, 2 channels, XLR out, reverb, and TONS of gain!! Love it!
If you are playing in a cover band look at the JVM410HJS. Covers pretty much every sound from the 70's to now, and covers with conviction. 4 channels makes it super versatile for playing a wide range of music without fiddling with the amp. I tried the single and dual channel amps but playing the...
