Might as well throw in a small meter for setting bias on the back, rotary switch to select the tube to test.
The price of a digital display is so cheap its ridiculous, I could get a meter and switch cheaper then a set of brake light globes for my car. I replaced the parking lights and brake and...
I think all tube with XLR out, effect loop, reverb, tremolo ?, 2 channel , built in dummy load would be ok if you could turn speaker on/off when you want, and a headphone out would be nice.
I do not want the dummy load to work with headphone jack, but it should come on if no speaker is plugged...
I have seen those jacks on other Marshall amps in different places, I think some SS amps from the 80's used them on the headphone or headphone/line out jack on the front panel.
I have a feeling that if you pop the bung out that the speaker wires comes through the chassis you can install a speaker out jack in the bottom of the amp chassis.
Then you can plug it into any cab you want, it should rock through a 4-12 cab.
You will need to install a plug on the wire to the...
You should stick your phone in there and take photos of the back of the speaker cones, black cones with white writing tells you what you have.
There are codes on the speaker spiders as well that will give you more information as well.
The bass cones are a bit rare I think as not many people...
I always connect the unused lug to the wiper, if the wiper is a bit dirty you don't loose the whole resistance on the wiper.
It is hard to remember which way the bass pot is connected since it can be drawn in different ways, you can not tell if lug 3 is on the top or bottom on the schematic...
I like the idea that the HV supply PCB that Sushi Box has as a PCB for can go up to 450v, and one of his pedals is running 4 tubes from that supply.
Makes you start thinking of all the preamps one can build into a pedal.
No transformers needed if you make some pre-amp pedals with tubes, I recently noticed the Sushi Box site and have already ordered some PCB's for my first 2 pedals.

I remember playing with a bunch of German hand grenades when I visited my grandparent, they had no explosives left in them but you could not tell.
I wonder what ever happened to them, I have lived on the other side of the planet since 1973 so I have no idea if they are still there somewhere. (an...
I think there would be a market for tubes with the German markings, some of the really dark bands would mount one in a socket and light it up with an orange LED so it glows on the top of their amp.
I think it would be very immature of someone to do so, I have memories of my mother waking up...
That V shaped piece of metal is what touches the jack plug when you insert it, if it broke off you will need to replace the socket if you need to use the socket.
If you don't need it just leave it alone for now.
The brown wire on pin 6 looks like it is not attached very well, unless it is an optical illusion.
I can see the wire has solder on it but I can't see any on pin 6, pin 6 is not used on a 6L6 tube.
Confusing to me. (easily done)
I would look around for a drink coaster that is solid and well made and use that to make a new plate.
Since the original jack plate is 3-3/4 inch diameter it should be easy to find something that will work, you might have to drop in at a lot of pubs to find one you like but someone has to do the...
Passinwind on the TalkBass forum is making a nice wood veneer fascia with wood knobs for his last amp build.
It looks nice
