    Started a '67 Plexi

Yea I'll use EL34's, just not sure which. I had JJ's in my '69 I finished a month ago and one took a dump yesterday. I have pairs of RFT Siemens but no matched quads.

    Started a '67 Plexi

Everything but the trannies and board are from ValveStorm. Using boards from Watts and Classic Tone iron. Standoffs are 1/2" then I use two #4 nuts below the board.

    Started a '67 Plexi

Started out as a 18 watt but made some changes (SS rectifier, choke, changed some values).

    Started a '67 Plexi

Started a 10xxx clone this week. I'm using all Classic Tone iron instead of Heyboer. Used CT on a 20w and liked it so we'll see. Need to change some turrets around. Should be a nice compliment to my '69. Steve

    Volume pot question.

Thanks again Mickey. Tried those options, all voltage checks since I finished the build have been on. Going to chalk it upto goofy pots I guess.

    Volume pot question.

Mickey, what should I check regarding a weak input signal just to rule that out?

    Volume pot question.

Mickey & Murray here's what my measurements are. The 2 pots in the amp measure Vol2=.945M overall. 75.6K shaft rotated 50%, center to left. Vol1= 1.047M overall. 69.3K............. I have a CTS 1M new that measures 1.05M. 67K............. Again it's a stock Metroamp circuit. I made no mods...

    Volume pot question.

Should be audio but they aren't marked audio or linear. I've swapped V1's.

    Volume pot question.

Finished a 100w Plexi clone this weekend. All voltages check out and the amp is quiet. Only odd thing I've found is both Vol1 and Vol2 pots (CTS) don't seem to work between 0-2. After about 2 on the dial everything is fine. Played the amp extensively today and this is the only issue.

    Advice the morning after.

The blue bias wire in question has the white arrow pointing to it. Even after unbundling the PT leads it was barely long enough to come up thru it's hole, no way would it reach the turret. The other day I spliced onto it, but am leery of splicing.

    Advice the morning after.

Same length as the other in the pair, but it connected to a ground lug which was no problem.

    Best attenuator for 1959SLP?

+10 for the RockCrusher! I also have a Power Plug 100. The RC is tough to beat.

    Advice the morning after.

Would like advice on the best way to proceed with an issue that p****d me off yesterday! I'm building a '69 100w Plexi clone, stand up Heyboer PT. Everything seems to be going nicely until I added the board. The blue bias wire that connects to the board is at least an inch short. Hate the...
